About NEET and why it is mandatory for MBBS students?

NEET- National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test is an entrance exam for all Indian students who wish to achieve their MBBS dream. Students who minded to study MBBS they should appear for NEET exam. NEET exam is mandatory for every student who willing to study in India as well as abroad. NEET is the only undergraduate medical entrance exam in India AIIMS and JIPMER entrance exams have been replaced by NEET. All the NEET exam requirements, from student registrations to conducting the examination, then the result declaration is taking care of by NTA (National Testing Agency). NEET examination is conducted only once a year. Students should pass in physics, chemistry and biology with 50%. Age Criteria the minimum age for aspirants to apply for NEET-UG is 17 years. The upper age limit is 25 years. For ST, SC, and OBC there are 5 years of relaxation.

NEET subject pattern

The students who willing to study MBBS in India and abroad are to qualify from the NEET entrance exam. The exam is mainly based on physics, chemistry and biology subjects. The exam has 3 hours duration to complete the 180 MCQS for every correct answer and total mark of NEET exam is 720, 4 marks will be awarded and for the wrong answer, 1 mark will be dedicated (which known as negative marking). NEET 2020 will be conducted offline in pen and paper-based mode, candidates will be provided with a rough booklet during the examination and they must mark the code for the test booklet on the OMR sheet. 

Tips to prepare for NEET exam

  • Make ready with the major syllabus (physics, biology, and chemistry)
  • Consult high-quality study materials (revising best NEET books, attending online classes with the help of experienced teachers)
  • Frame a comfortable time table
  • Revise 11th and 12th standard Phy, Chem, zoo, and bio books that are following the CBSE syllabus is a must.
  • Get a calendar and a diary
  • Set your priorities
  • Set out long study hours
  • Take care of your health
  • Don’t sleep during study time, get enough sleep
  • Revise regularly. Regular study break is a must
  • Practice mock tests
  • Don’t ignore important subject or question

How to appear for the exam?

  • Wear a formal dress.
  • Don’t panic while reading the question paper
  • Take a long breath to relax slowly read the question and answer the question
  • Don’t have junk food before entering the exam hall
  • Have mild food
  • Take your proper hall ticket and id proof
  • Revise regularly. Regular study break is a must
  • Practice mock tests
  • Don’t ignore important subject or question
