In the Philippines, once a student successfully passes a class or academic year, they are automatically promoted and enrolled into the next level as per the university’s academic progression system.
However, Indian students must also comply with the eligibility requirements prescribed by the National Medical Commission (NMC), India. Students are expected to maintain the required academic standards throughout the course. In addition, they must have qualified the NEET examination. For students belonging to the General category, a qualifying NEET score is mandatory as per the applicable cutoff. For candidates from the Reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC), the qualifying criterion is the prescribed 40th percentile in NEET, as notified by the NMC for the respective admission year.
